It’s cold, damp, grey, foggy and miserable….. what to do?
Get out there and enjoy the weather, whatever it happens to be. My other half and I set out today with the intention of getting on with a long bike ride, but there’s only so much enthusiasm you can generate when you’re cold and, well cold…. Divert to the coffee shop…… keep going after being replenished with cake…… and head for the bike shop… I needed a new helmet…. thus obtained, we wended our way home with a diversion.
But, 30 miles melted into 20, melted into 15 – sometimes you just have to call it a day….
It’s the same with your artistic life – there are days when you just have to let it go – let the miles melt away – take stock, take a rest – see what happens tomorrow….. there’s no rush…..

Take a view of what’s in front of you, and sometimes even on the greyest of days, there will be something to grab on to.
